For the past two years I have been working on a very interesting book about the place in which I now live: the Forest of Dean. I was commissioned to write a children’s history of this enigmatic and special place – and I’m delighted that it’s published today!

I was asked to write the book by the Forest of Dean Local History Society, who worked with the Forestry Commission to secure funding for the project and ensure the book could be designed, illustrated and edited to professional standards.
With pictures and maps by Ursula Hurst and over 200 photos and other illustrations, the book is a visually exciting journey through this area’s turbulent past.
You can read more about the book here.
