It has hundreds of wonderful pictures from American illustrator Claire Almon. The book's many animals are brought to life by her characterful watercolours in great detail.
The book covers all kinds of animal tracks and signs including:
- Footprints
- droppings
- evidence of feeding
- burrows, nests and other homes
- pellets
- feathers
- bones
- eggs
Poo is of course featured widely with special sections on big poos, little poos, bear poos and even dinosaur doo-doo!
There are also quizzes, pages on dangerous animals to track (such as snakes and tigers) and advice about equipment to take when looking for wildlife clues.
Finally, it wouldn't be an Andy Seed book without some funny bits as well!
The Clue is in the Poo is a great way to encourage children to get outdoors, become active and start understanding and learning about the wonderful natural environments around us.
